Expo + React Native + Segment + Facebook pixel
Our app is built using Expo + React Native. We'd like to drive app installs using Facebook ads. Expo doesn't allow integrating the native Facebook SDK however, so we are using Segment to send the "Application Installed" event to Facebook using the Expo Segment integration.
However, it seems to us that we should also integrate FB pixel so that FB can effectively map the link click to install events. From the documentation at https://segment.com/docs/destinations/facebook-pixel/ , it seems like we need to,
1) add FB pixel as a destination to segment
2) call Segment.identify with data about the user
Is our thinking around this accurate? Should completing these steps let us track FB app install conversions via Segment data?
