I thought I would share a tip here in case someone else finds it useful. Recently, we needed to set up an integration from Google Lead Gen. None of the standard integrations from Google suited our needs, and we didn't want to use Zapier due to the additional costs. So, we created a source function and used the webhook integration from Google Lead Gen. This setup allowed us to send data to any of the sources connected to Segment.
To understand the payload, we connected the source function to Google Lead Gen and inspected the incoming data. We then wrote the source function to transform the data into the correct format.
The new Action-Based destinations in Segment are also beneficial because they make the mapping configuration straightforward.
