Hi All,Looking for a bit of clarity on the Destination Event Mapping Trigger logic.I understand that All implies every condition in the trigger must be true resulting in AND logic.For example:Event Name is Order Completed Product Sku is abc Product Type is subscriptionBecomes:Event Name is Order Completed AND Product Sku is abc AND Product Type is subscription This would isolate Order Completed with the specific product parameters and send “abc product subscription purchase” to the given destinationBased on the documentation Any implies at least one of the conditions in the trigger must be true resulting in full OR logic.The example becomes:Event Name is Order Completed OR Product Sku is abc OR Product Type is subscription This would include all Order Completed events, any other events passing the abc sku, or any events passing a product type of subscriptionWhat I am struggling with is AND OR logic together. Hello!I’ve run into a particular problem with integrating SednGrid with Engage. The email volume I have is nowhere near needing a dedicated IP for SendGrid, but Segment requires The Pro 100K account in order to connect via subusers. Is there any way around this? SendGrid support informed me it’s not possible to get a shared IP and have subuser management. Is there a way to utilize SendGrid with Engage without having to use subusers in SendGrid? Or is there a workaround for this to ensure the same functionality?

Hi, I have created a journey in which I want 85% of the audience to be sent to google adwords and 15% as holdout. How do I know which people are in holdout like how to collect these people?

 We have recently noticed that the display options in the Overview section for 'Audience Details' and 'Identifier Breakdown' show 0 users, while the 'Audience Preview' in the Builder section shows 1,767 users in this case. Could this be an error related solely to the information preview, or might it be affecting the actual audience content? Could this just be a temporary glitch? Previously, audiences have processed without errors in the preview during recent days. However, the data now appears as 0 (as shown in the attachments). Additionally, in other Overview sections like 'Audience Growth' and 'Computations', active users can be observed.   

I have some questions about Reverse ETL functionality and was wondering if additional documentation or guides exist on this topic. Scenario:A relative date query identifies users who requested quotes within the last 5 days with 10-day lead times before their arrival and do not have a confirmed booking. These users are flagged as TRUE via a trait (e.g., early_quote_user). From an initial group of 10 tagged users: 2 later convert to confirmed bookings (no longer meeting criteria). 3 new qualifying users are added as TRUE the next day Key Questions: Should the logic to mark converted users as FALSE be implemented directly in the SQL query? If not explicitly handled, will those users' traits remain TRUE indefinitely? Are there alternative methods to automatically transition users from TRUE to FALSE when they no longer meet criteria?

We are experiencing an issue where our HubSpot integration with Segment frequently disconnects and requires reauthentication. I've had to manually click "reauthorize" a few times.  Is there a chance the OAuth token is being revoked or not refreshed properly?

It looks like the five Suggested Predictive Audience categories (e.g., Ready to Buy, High LTV) are primarily ecommerce-focused, relying heavily on purchase and revenue-related events like Order Completed.Are there options to build custom Predictive Audiences that don't depend on a revenue-based conversion event? And is there a roadmap to support non-ecommerce use cases—for example, audiences built around content engagement, form fills, or other non-purchase signals?Would love to hear how others are handling this or if Segment has guidance on broader applications.

I wanted to run this by the community for advice and best practice.We use Account SQL Traits to enrich Account profiles today, so each computation generates a Group call and adds the traits to the Account.I built out a rETL model and have looked at the Segment Profiles destinations to replicate this approach with rETL. However, when configuring the Group mapping in the Segment Profiles destination, it requires that I set either an anonymousId or userId, neither of which I would have since I just want to enrich the Account profile.I don’t see a way to replicate Account SQL traits for this unless I generate/populate an arbitrary anonymous ID to use.  I’ve noticed that the Group calls that get generated from the account SQL Trait use a static anonymous ID - __segment_internal_personas_group. Would it be safe to simply use this exact same value in the Group mapping of the Segment Profiles destination in order to get it to work?

Hi all,Today I noticed that the Segment Event Tracker third-party Chrome extension has stopped working.At first, I thought it was just us, but then I checked app.segment.com, and there was nothing there either. At the same time, the official Segment Inspector works just fine.Weirdly enough, the Event Tracker does work on community.segment.com.Has anyone else experienced similar issues lately? 

Hi all, We have started looking into Linkedin ads and setting up the tracking seems to be very different to the other ads destinations. We have set up the Linkedin Insights Tag destination but all it really does it track button clicks and page urls. My question: should we be able to send the custom frontend events to Linkedin like we can for all the other ad destinations or do we have to go the manual route without using Segment?  Does anyone else use Linkedin Ads and would you be able to share any insights around fronted end tracking and the best way to set this up? Just a thought, it would be very helpful for Segment to have practical guides available in their documentation

We are in the processing of utilized Profile Sync and ran into this question: how does canonical_segment_id is survived when profiles are merged?There is no straightforward documentation explaining the merging algorithm to determine the surviving canonical_segment_id when two profiles (with two different segment_id) are merged. We have performed some tests and noticed the first-created canonical_segment_id remained but would like to have a definite confirmation.

The question here is how to use relative dates within event properties when creating an audience.For example, I want to create an audience that automatically includes users who have performed a search for a hotel stay starting within the next 15 days.However, when I try to create the audience based on the "arrival_date" property, I can only select a fixed date, not a relative date like "in the next 15 days."Is there any way to solve this and be able to use relative dates?

Hi guys,I’ve been trying to set up Data Graph. What I’d want to do with it is (I think) pretty straightforward. I’d like to use Linked Events to pull traits as they are known in Unify to populate those on events.I’m having trouble configuring the Data Graph so that it will actually allow me to pull these traits in mapping to any destination.At first I assumed that pointing to the Profile Sync dataset in our DWH would be enough for Segment to enable this. After all, Segment creates these tables with default schema’s so I figured it should work out of the box. I learned that this is not the case and that you’d need to set Enrichment first before you can select traits to populate on events.I set up an Enrichment that points to the user_traits materialized view, but that doesn’t work as there is no user_id in there to match on a property of any event.Currenlty the data graph looks like this:data_graph { version = "v1.0.0" profile { profile_folder = "PROJECT_NAME.segment_profile

Google made updates to the Conversion Actions setup and removed the "using API or uploads” option that is still present in their docs.Old method still in the Google docs:Select Other data sources or CRMs if you'd like to integrate your CRM directly, or alternatively select Manual import using API or uploads.Click Continue.There are now options to add a source (such as Hubspot) - but no option to use the API that used to be the setup method. Have you run into a fix for this.Flow = Google Ads -> Goals -> New Conversion Action -> Conversions offline -> (no options for API only "data sources" and Segment is not an option). Customer.io):analytics.track({ userId: oldData.id, event: 'User Deleted',});This can work if used to delete customer.io user by adding a specific action to the mappings, but I can’t see how can I delete Mixpanel user using the same Segment code.can you help to suggest a way to delete mixpanel users using the same trigger?

HiI am having problems finding a way to count active days the last 28 days based on an activity. I can only count the sum of activities within a periode, but i need the result to be a count of active days. It does not matter if the did the event 1 or 20 times pr. day. Can anyone help with this trait?Anne :-)

If a website is already utilizing a tag management system (such as Tealium iQ, Google Tag Manager, or another tool), would it be possible to leverage the existing setup to send website events to Segment? If so, what are the best practices for implementing this integration? Additionally, are there any official documents or resources available to guide this process?

Hi everyone,We’re having a challenge with some events that in some cases have a null value on a property. We want to send the events to GA4 Cloud. That destination does not accept null values so it will fail the event if we try to send it.We figured to solve this with a coalesce on the mapping of these properties. Then, if it has null, it would use the fallback value to replace null with a string. It turns out you can not set a static value in the coalesce function on the mapping. It will only allow to select 2 properties in the coalesce function.We try to avoid using an insert function as that makes the setup way more complex in our opinion.Are there any ways around this? Thanks!

Hi,I have some tracking issues with GA 4 integration.I have many people who are coming from different referrers but get attributed to “direct / none” because of the flow of our system. It works perfectly on Mixpanel but not so much with GA 4.The flow is the following :The user comes from referral A to page B, goes through an identification process, and then arrives on page C. On page C, we made four actions:track(“Authorized”) alias(newUserId) identify(newUserId) track(“SignedUp”)All the track actions “Signed Up” are in the direct / none channel because I think GA 4 does not understand that the track is from the previous user (before the identify) and not after. It seems the alias call is not used at all.But the track “Authorized” has good tracking.Is there something that we could do to say to GA 4, like mixpanel, to alias people?

Hi all, Can anyone share online video tutorials for setting up the ad destinations in the right manner so that we can track conversions and send through enhancements correctly using Segment. Seem to be having a little trouble in some instances and would like to view something on best practices or just general guides. Specifics: can you send through an enhanced conversion and a Restatement conversion for the same event to Google Ads Conversions destination? They will obviously be sent at the same time. I presume so but cant find anything to confirm. The Bing ads setup is easy enough but the setup of conversion goals in Microsoft Ads is  confusing as using Segment does not require us to add the UET tag to the site but the setup in Bing makes reference to it continually

I am trying to set up a Destination Function that sends events to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Transactional API endpoint. My goal is to trigger an email send whenever a specific event (e.g., "Order Confirmation") occurs in Segment Source. Can someone share example of js code which i can take as an example. I am not very good in creating a js code from scratch. Thanks.
