The Google Analytics 4 Web destination lets you send web data to the fourth version of Google's widely-used analytics platform, taking advantage of its powerful new features.This destination works on the client by loading gtag.js for you.For more information, see Segment's Google Analytics 4 Web destination documentation.
The Braze Cohorts destination, built on Destination Actions, is now in Public Beta.With this destination, customers can send Engage audiences to their Braze account as cohorts, and cohorts can be used to build campaigns with the most accurate customer data.This is a more scalable alternative to storing audience subscription in user-level attributes in Braze.For more information, see Segment's Braze Cohorts documentation.
Analytics.js Classic has entered End of Life as of February 28th, 2023.This means that Segment will no longer maintain or upgrade the Classic version of Analytics.js. All sources leveraging Analytics.js Classic will be auto upgraded to Analytics.js 2.0 by the end of March 2023.
The Webhooks (Actions) destination is now in General Availability.With this destination, customers can submit real-time user data to any webhook URL.For more information, see Segment's Webhooks (Actions) documentation.
With Subscriptions with SQL Traits, marketers will have the ability to quickly and easily import subscription data into Engage with SQL.For example, some companies may enforce employee policies restricting the storage of PII on local computers, which makes subscription-related updates via CSV uploads redundant, and limits options for marketers who may not have developer resources readily available.Marketers don’t always have the skill set to utilize an API but are often familiar with SQL, making our SQL Traits feature a much easier approach to syncing subscription data between their data warehouse and Twilio Engage.Subscriptions with SQL Traits is available to all users on Engage Premier. New functionality to send Firebase app events to the Google Analytics 4 Measurement Protocol API is now available in Segment's Google Analytics 4 destination.This allows customers to send mobile events to GA4 server-side. Google recommends a parallel implementation with the Firebase SDKs. You can use this new functionality to supplement any mobile data sent client-side.
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Actions) destination is now in General Availability.With this destination, customers can create contacts, store contact and event data in data extensions, and send API events to Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Language-specific client SDKs for the Public API are available to help you adopt the Public API more efficiently.These SDKs are open-sourced, and available on GitHub for Go, Swift, TypeScript and Java.
Compute Progress Bar will help you get more clarity on the progress of your audience or computed trait creation with a progress bar, computation statuses, and percentage completed.Segment has updated the Audience and Trait builder for a more consistent experience, and you’ll also see a confirmation screen for each Audience or Trait you create. This feature provides more visibility and predictability during the audience and computed trait creation and edit process.For more information, see the Audiences and Computed Traits documentation.
The Stripe source now leverages a newer version of the Stripe APIs.As part of this change, Segment added support for one new collection (tax_rates). Some properties in a few of the collections have been added and deprecated. No changes have been made to the existing functionality.For more information, see Segment's Stripe Source documentation.

The Developer Portal is the place where partners go to manage their integrations with Segment.Once invited, partners can log into the Developer Portal, where they can view their integration’s status, manage their integration’s catalog metadata, and invite additional team members to join their team. This feature is only available for partners who are currently being onboarded in cohorts.For more information, see Segment's Developer Portal.
As part of Engage, Segment creates an Engage Events Source that lets you sync subscription states to connected Destinations.When a subscription state changes, Segment sends an update to the Destination. As a result, the subscription states stored in your Destination(s) can serve as a single source of truth for managing user consent in other tools that you may have connected to the Destination.Learn more in the Engage Events Source documentation.
Support for the Salesforce Bulk API 2.0 is now Generally Available in the Salesforce (Actions) destination.With this new functionality, customers can opt to send data to Salesforce in batches of up to 1000 events. By default, the Salesforce (Actions) destination will continue to send data to the Salesforce streaming REST API, but customers can choose to use the Bulk API 2.0 instead.For more information, see Segment's Salesforce (Actions) Destination documentation.
The Salesforce Pardot (Actions) destination is now in General Availability.With this destination, customers can create and update prospects in Salesforce Pardot. Data is sent server-side and can be used to automate marketing campaigns. For more information see Segment's Salesforce Pardot (Actions) Destination documentation.
The Adobe Target Web and Cloud Mode destinations, built on Destination Actions, are now in General Availability.With these new destinations, customers will be able to send their first-party data to Adobe Target. From there, they can A/B test, construct audiences, and personalize user experiences, all based on the profile information collected and defined in Segment. On May 15, 2023, Segment will end support for Analytics React Native Classic, which includes versions 1.5.1 and older.All customer tiers have access and can upgrade to Analytics React Native 2.0, which is lighter weight and more performant.See the Analytics React Native 2.0 docs to learn more.

The LinkedIn Audiences destination, built on Destination Actions, is now in General Availability.With this destination, customers can send Engage audiences to their LinkedIn Ads account. New functionality to upload offline click conversions, offline call conversions, and conversion adjustments to the Google Ads API is in General Availability.These features can be found in the Google Enhanced Conversions destination, which has now been renamed Google Ads Conversions to reflect the new feature set.For more information, see Segment's documentation.
Public API Transformations is available to all workspaces on Business Tier plans with the Protocols add-on.This feature enables you to programmatically maintain your Transformations on Segment instances.With Public API Transformations, you can: Create transformations that support track, identify and group events Perform single event matches Rename events and properties.
