Hi all,

Can anyone share online video tutorials for setting up the ad destinations in the right manner so that we can track conversions and send through enhancements correctly using Segment.

Seem to be having a little trouble in some instances and would like to view something on best practices or just general guides.

Specifics:

  1. can you send through an enhanced conversion and a Restatement conversion for the same event to Google Ads Conversions destination? They will obviously be sent at the same time. I presume so but cant find anything to confirm.
  2. The Bing ads setup is easy enough but the setup of conversion goals in Microsoft Ads is  confusing as using Segment does not require us to add the UET tag to the site but the setup in Bing makes reference to it continually

Hi Bradley,

I’ll drop a link to a high-level overview of setting up the Linkedin Conversions API destination to track conversions. Google and Bing ads destinations will function similarly. If I can get some more context into the exact blockers that you are encountering, I will try to track down the right info.

To answer your questions:

  1. You can absolutely create two mappings for the same event: one as an enhanced conversion and one as an adjustment conversion. You will just need to map both to the same event. Documentation here.
  2. Segment’s Bing ads integration is a device-mode connection. Segment will automatically load the Bing ads SDK on your behalf, so there should be no need to provide additional setup. Documentation here.

Let me know if these resources are helpful, and happy to look into any specific blockers.

Cheers,

Tyler
