Segment X Airship

Hi all, 

We have recently integrated with Segment and have an existing email marketing tool called Airship. 

Does anyone have any experience using the 2 tools to create lengthy onboarding journeys? 

We have created the onboarding steps in Segment that then trigger emails in Airship BUT we will run out of steps very soon. 

There has to be a better way of doing this by having the steps in Airship rather than Segment but i am not sure how to do this using the 2 tools effectively.

We are using Segment and Airship at the moment as well.
Can you explain in more details how it is set up on your end?

Are you doing any logical segmentation within the onboarding flow within Airship or a different setup?

Hi Omar, 

We are still trying to figure out the best way to set it up. The documentation on Airship side leaves a lot to be desired. 

We have now got events being sent to Airship and are creating the email journey within Airship based off of the events. 

While this is fine if we just want to send emails, it doesn’t really help with multi channel comms, including sending to Facebook. 

We would prefer to orchestrate the journeys from Segment but haven’t figured out how to do that yet.
