Below are the latest releases to date for Q3:

Duplicate Destination Mappings in General Availability

  • Quickly make a copy of an existing mapping with a destination, including all configurations and enrichments

Linked Audiences and Data Graph General Availability

  • Linked Audiences and Data Graph are now Generally Available for Snowflake & Databricks.
  • Linked Audiences empower marketers to create targeted audiences by combining behavioral data from the Segment Profile and warehouse entity data within a self-serve, no-code interface - accelerating audience creation, enabling precise targeting, enhancing customer personalization, and optimizing marketing spend without the need for constant data team support.
  • The Data Graph acts as a semantic layer that allows businesses to define relationships between entity datasets in the warehouse - such as accounts, subscriptions, households, and products - with the Segment Profile. The Data Graph makes these relational datasets easily accessible to the business teams for targeted and personalized customer engagements.

Delivery Overview for Storage Destinations in Public Beta

  • End-to-end observability is coming to Warehouse Destinations.  For the first time, Delivery Overview gives you a comprehensive breakdown of how streaming source events convert to warehouse rows. 

Destination Delivery Metrics on Source Overview

  • We’ve added at-a-glance delivery metrics for all of your destinations connected to a source on the Source overview page, so you can quickly understand how your destinations are performing. For streaming destinations, you’ll see a summary of events that failed to be delivered or were successfully delivered. For storage destinations, you’ll get a brief snapshot of how many failed/partial syncs occurred and the total number of synced rows. You can select a date range from the picker at the top of the page to view your destinations’ health for a specific time range.

Sync Overview for Reverse ETL 

  • Users can now access an aggregated view of their most recent Reverse ETL syncs in a single place! This means no longer having to navigate through multiple mappings to understand the health of their RETL syncs. On the Reverse ETL sync overview tab, users can see information about their recent Reverse ETL syncs at a glance, filter for syncs, and quickly access the mappings and models that power Reverse ETL.

Segment (dbt & Git Sync) Extensions are General Availability

  • Segment Extensions, including dbt and Git Sync, is generally available. Extensions provides third-party integrations that add an automated experience with your existing tools, like dbt labs for syncing models or Git repositories for managing versioning for Segment Workspace changes. dbt Extension is available to all tiers, while Git Sync is available for Team and Business plans.

Custom Domain

  • In this privacy-conscious era, most browsers offer enhanced privacy features for their end-users but can challenge Segment customers' marketing efforts by blocking their ability to fully access first-party data. Custom Domain therefore allows customers to configure a first-party subdomain to track event requests through their domain like cdp.customer.com instead of Segment’s default domain, segment.com. This will stop browsers from blocking Segment and allow customers to collect more comprehensive data. With Custom Domains, Segment libraries are not blocked and customers reclaim control over their first-party data, enabling a more complete understanding of their customers, for more robust profiles, more accurate attribution, and ultimately greater ROAS.

Product Recommendation Audiences 

  • Now customers can just choose a specific product and let the ML model build the appropriate audience around that model. We’ve seen customers improve their revenue attributed from a specific campaign by over 500% and ROAS by 60%.

Trait Activation for Destination Functions

  • Customers can now easily configure Trait Activation to seamlessly pass required traits and identifiers to their Destination Functions (both insert and non-insert functions).

Google Display and Video 360 (Actions)

  • Rebuilt on Destination Actions, the Google Display and Video 360 (Actions) destination lets you streamline activation of end-to-end ad campaigns under Google Marketing Platform.

Marketo Static Lists

  • Sync audiences as a List to Marketo for your marketing campaigns from an Engage Audience, Linked Audience, or a Reverse ETL model. This destination supersedes our legacy Marketo Static Lists destination that was deprecated in Q2 2024.

LinkedIn Conversions API

  • Send end-user conversion events to LinkedIn, unlocking optimization and measurement for your LinkedIn ad campaigns.

Predictions is now HIPAA Eligible

  • Predictions, Segment’s artificial intelligence and machine learning feature that lets you predict the likelihood that users will perform any event tracked in Segment, is now HIPAA Eligible. HIPAA Eligible workspaces require a Business Associate Addendum (BAA).
