Consent enforcement in third party (Action and Classic) Reverse ETL Destinations is available to all users on the Business Tier plan.This feature enables customers using Reverse ETL to enforce end-user consent preferences by routing end user data only to destination categories they have consented to share data with.For more information, see the Consent in Reverse ETL documentation.
All users can now send their Reverse ETL alerts to a user-defined email and/or a Slack channel.This feature enables users of Reverse ETL Connections to receive alerts to a specific email address and/or Slack channel of their choosing.For more information, see Reverse ETL: Alerting.
Reverse ETL enables you to activate data from a warehouse and load it into 300+ downstream destinations. Azure as a Reverse ETL source is now Generally Available.
Source Volume alerting is now generally available for all Cloud Streaming Sources.When viewing a source, access the Alert tab and provide a percentage threshold to alert against positive or negative changes in the event volume emitted from the source compared to the previous 24 hours.For example, if you set a change percentage of 4%, Segment notifies you when your source ingests less than 96% or more than 104% of the typical event volume.Additionally, for this new alert and the preexisting Destination Delivery alert, you can now specify a specific email address as the recipient for a triggered alert and/or a Slack channel of your choosing (in-app alerts also remain an option).
Delivery Overview is now generally available for all cloud-streaming destinations receiving events from cloud-streaming sources.With Delivery Overview, you can verify that your source receives your events, that any filters and Tracking Plans work as expected, and that events successfully flow to your destination.You can use Delivery Overview’s pipeline view to identify any event delivery errors or unexpected behavior, leading to quicker resolution of data quality issues.For more information, see the Delivery Overview documentation.
SQL Traits has entered End of Sale as of March 31, 2024.This means that Segment will no longer offer new customers the ability to create SQL Traits. Existing customers will continue to have access to SQL Traits.Segment recommends using Reverse ETL to sync your data into Segment.
Delivery Overview is available in the Public API to all users on Team & Business plans. Delivery Overview enables users to troubleshoot a destination’s activity & performance: from the source, through Segment, and to the delivery attempt at the destination.For more information, see Segment's Public API docs (and Segment's Delivery Overview docs for more information about the in-app experience).
Linked Audiences allows you to build powerful and targeted audiences based on Segment Profiles and any relational data set from your data warehouse mapped to the Data Graph.Linked Audiences Public Beta access begins rolling out now to all customers on Engage Foundations.To receive priority access, fill out a request form.
Segment's goal is to help customers get the full value from the Profiles Sync product by building materialized views in Segment and syncing them to the customer data warehouse.Segment is adding three materialized view tables on top of the existing raw tables synced with Profiles Sync.To learn more about these materialized view tables, visit the Profiles Sync docs.
Salesforce Version 58 is available to all Salesforce cloud source users.This feature enables access to over 350 new collections and over 800 new columns.For more information see the version upgrade changes.

Trait Activation now supports all Destination Actions. Trait Activation includes both Trait Enrichment and ID Sync: With Trait Enrichment, use custom, SQL, computed, and predictive traits to enrich the data you map to your destinations. Use ID Sync to select identifiers and a sync strategy for each identifier when syncing Engage Audiences to Destinations. Visit the Trait Activation docs to learn more.

Use the Databricks Destination to sync Segment events into your Databricks Lakehouse.This destination has functional parity with other Segment warehouse destinations, including replay support, EU support, selective sync, and more.Visit the Databricks Destination documentation for more information.
Databricks for Profiles Sync is now Generally Available.With Databricks, you can sync Segment profiles directly into your Databricks Lakehouse.This feature is only available for Unify.Visit the documentation to get started with Databricks for Profiles Sync.
With Generative Audiences, you can use generative AI to create Engage Audiences.Using natural language prompts, you can describe your desired audience based on events performed, profile traits, or existing audiences in your workspace.To learn more, visit Segment’s Generative Audiences documentation.
The Google Display and Video 360 destination, rebuilt on Destination Actions, is now in public beta.This destination lets you streamline activation of end-to-end ad campaigns under Google Marketing Platform.Segment will deprecate the Personas DV360 destination. Klaviyo (Actions) Destination is now in Public Beta.Klaviyo is a powerful email platform focused on ecommerce that helps companies make more money. It supports segmentation based on category and event triggers like product bought, page viewed, email engagement, or amount spent.With this destination, you can send Engage audiences and rETL data to lists and profiles in Klaviyo. In addition to creating users in lists, you can also send Track events for each user.For more information, see the Klaviyo Actions Documentation.
Segment's destination for Optimizely allows customers to send Segment profile data into Optimizely to power testing and experimentation.This upgrade brings the destination into the Actions Framework and connects to the latest Optimizely SDK, providing improved performance, security, and implementation.For more information, see the Optimizely Feature Experimentation (Actions) Destination Documentation.
With action buttons and badge count settings, you can further control how your push notifications show up on your customers’ mobile devices. Action buttons let you set content and actions for buttons when using push notifications in Engage. With action buttons, your users can interact directly with your app from a notification without needing to click into an app experience. Badges are small icons that are ideal for getting a user’s attention. You can now specify the badge count when creating your push notification template in Engage, giving you more customization options for how your notification is delivered. Delivery Overview now includes samples of events dropped in the Failed on Ingest pipeline step.These samples provide visibility into data that failed to ingest from a source, helping users troubleshoot and refine their integrations.For more information, visit the Delivery Overview documentation.
