Facebook Page Insights

Hello Segment community,I am trying to connect our Facebook page as a source in Segment to pull the page insights data into our warehouse. Looking at metrics such as: page_impressions page_engaged_users page_posts_impressions page_fan_addsWas thinking of setting a Python script that pulls the metrics from Graph API endpoints then send to Segment as custom events using HTTP API.I tried connecting the Facebook ads cloud object source in Segment but this would only get us paid campaigns insights as Collections. Any thoughts on how to achieve so? It would be good to know if any in the community tackled in this pipeline via Segment.Cheers,Moni

Klaviyo Issue : facing Issue with the latest update of Segment UI

After the latest Segment UI update, I encountered an error where custom attributes cannot be added to new profile data when sending it from Segment to Klaviyo. Specifically, there’s no option to map the field when the “upsert profile” setting is selected for Klaviyo as a destination. This issue does not affect existing events, which continue to work fine. this is only happening in case an upsert profile is selected in Klaviyo as a destination

Modifying Payloads in Destination Insert Functions

Hi all, I’m trying to set up a Destination Insert function which would take my event, do some light modification and then send the modified version as a key to the destination. Is that possible? The use case is that Hubspot Cloud Actions destination expects a very specific way to code Track events. Rather than having a mapping for each event I wanted to have just one mapping and then use a function to transform the name of the event to the Hubspot format

How Do I Get UTM Data from App into Hubspot?

Hi there - I am having issues getting attribution data from users who sign up on my web app (Source) into my Hubspot Destination. The app is capturing UTM parameters, but when that data gets fed into Hubspot from Segment, the Original Source in Hubspot is simply “INTEGRATION” and Original Source Drilldown 1 is “Twilio - Segment.” Ideally, I should be able to populate Hubspot’s native “Original Source” field with where these users are coming from (Organic, Paid Search, etc).Essentially, I’m unable to see where my web app signups are coming from because Segment is not passing this data correctly. We have the Hubspot Tracking Code installed on our app through Google Tag Manager, but finding this is still not working.This seems very basic but unfortunately I’m completely stuck. Any ideas?

Salesforce: Getting Lead IDs

I am setting up a Salesforce (Actions) destination. When I receive a particular event, I want to create a custom object that is associated with a lead. The event has the lead's email address (a unique identifier for the lead), but not the lead ID.Ideally, I would use the email address to get the lead ID and then include the lead ID when I create the custom object. Is there any way to do something like this in Segment?Thanks in advance!

Segment X Airship

Hi all, We have recently integrated with Segment and have an existing email marketing tool called Airship. Does anyone have any experience using the 2 tools to create lengthy onboarding journeys? We have created the onboarding steps in Segment that then trigger emails in Airship BUT we will run out of steps very soon. There has to be a better way of doing this by having the steps in Airship rather than Segment but i am not sure how to do this using the 2 tools effectively. Thanks, Brad

Device token issues + application opened event

Hello!We have a React Native mobile app and are having some trouble with our device tokens for the Application Opened lifecycle event.I’ve been looking at documentation but haven’t been able to find clear answers.Our application opened event is not sending the device_id and hence failing to reach the customer.io destination. What is a foolproof way to fetch the device token for both iOS and Android?

I am looking to create a computed trait of the last order before May 1st; however, when I pull the preview, it’s bringing in contacts that have an order completed beyond May 1st. Check out the screenshots below and let me know where I’m going wrong. Thank you!

How to manage Active Account Associations

I’m curious what techniques the community has used to manage user > account associations, when users could belong to multiple Accounts but no way to ‘ungroup’. This is relevant for a lot of scenarios, but especially in the case of using Account-based audiences for Journeys and email. For example, let’s say John Doe - john.doe@gmail.com - is associated with ‘Blue Inc.’ via group(). John leaves Blue Inc. and joins ‘Red Inc’, and we capture that with group() some time later either via form fill or our offline data. Now John is associated with two companies in Segment, but only ‘active’ at Red Inc. We ‘know’ John isn’t at Blue Inc. anymore, but cannot remove the association.We create an Account-based audience that Blue Inc. falls into, but Red does not, and want to push the list of all associated users to Marketo for email. John Doe falls into this audience because he’s still associated to Blue Inc. in Segment, so he gets an email when we wouldn’t have wanted that. I don’t think it’s as

CAPI Connectors: SA360 / Meta / LinkedIn

Hello, I am seeking information on Segment's Paid Media Connectors and their capabilities for SA360, Meta, LinkedIn, and Google Ads. I am aware that the existing connectors can match email addresses. However, our Marketing department is interested in matching based on emails as well as other fields like phone numbers and addresses. Are these features available in the current connectors? If not, has there been any development of custom connectors to accommodate these requirements?

Major Issues with Klayvio

Trying to get Segment events to deliver to Klayvio but having major issues. Track events are not being delivered. Have tried to map events but have been pretty unsuccessful here other than seemingly getting identify() to work. I keep receiving the below error: Segments docs on how to map events to Klayvio are pretty barebones. It also seems based on Segments docs that the Klayvio integration should be pretty seamless but that is definitely not the case in my experience.

I'm seeking some insight on our GA4 (Cloud) setup. We have completed the setup on Segment. However, we're not seeing the audience appear in GA4 under 'audiences'. Sending an Audience from one Segment Journey to another

Hi Friends!We’ve started using Journeys some months ago, and as we’ve matured our use cases we’ve started experimenting with customer experiences.Would love some advice on how to chain journeys together. We have a use case to experiment the customer experience during a feature onboarding flow. We’d like to experiment with application onboarding experience, messaging, and in-app messaging.To do this, we need to split our audience into 3 branches. Each branch then moves the customer into a journey. (3 journeys) What i’m trying to do is create an “allocation” journey that branches the audience into 3 “random” branches. I’ve created a couple of test journeys to illustrate this.Then a “stream” journey that defines one experience. I was able to do this by defining the entry condition step to mean that a customer The issue i’m having is that the numbers of customers starting in the stream journey is erratic. Example we have 43k users in each branch in the “allocation” journey but only 227 s

GA4 Destination Setup - Anyone open to double checking my Mapping?

Hi awesome community,I’m new to Segment and GA4. I have set up a GA4 test account and setup a Segment GA4 Web destination to push to it. I can see data is going into the test account (however it’s not yet 24 hours so detail limited). However, my test account is recording higher visitors than production.The GA4 Web destination setup is much more complex than the others I have done and I’m not sure it’s right.I don’t suppose anyone would be willing to do a video call with me to double-check my work?Thanks!Lorraine

Value sensitivity when pulling audiences

Hi there, My team is just starting with an implementation. A few questions on the sensitivity when building audiences.1.I know in the past my team had issues with Lytic’s capitalization sensitivity ie: TRUE vs. true. Is Segment also sensitive to capitalizations.2.Can Segment accept a N or Y for a yes or no answer?3.Are there any other data sensitivities that come into play while building audiences?

How might I visualise my backend and frontend events on my website

Hi all,Sorry for the basic question. Is there a way I can see my backend and frontend events on the website? We have all the event names documented but there are many and I’m not always sure what page/section they are referring to.

Can Segment be configured to selectively hash certain data or fields when exporting data? #doublehashing

Has anyone experienced scenarios where hashed email addresses are fed into Segment? We need to create audiences that will be sent back to our Marketing estate, retaining the original encryption of the email addresses. My understanding is that Segment hashes the outbound audience list, which would result in the email field being double hashed. Is there a feature in Segment that allows us to choose which fields to hash? I presume this setting would be in the associated tracking plan?
